Bio

From a very early age I loved to draw. Encouraged by my parents, they enrolled me in almost every painting and drawing class at our local library and occasionally at the city Art Museum.

I attended The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts and worked in commercial art for eleven years. Over the years my artistic endeavors have been sporadic yet successful.

I enjoy drawing natural subjects, landscapes, botanicals and still lifes. Because of the delicate nature of Pastels my pieces come framed and under glass. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed drawing them.

Artist Statement

Most of my work is of natural subjects, botanical studies, landscapes and still lifes. I like the abstract feel of nature, not often but sometimes I'll use some human made forms in the pieces.

Working with Pastels I don't have the need to maintain a large studio. I worked in oils until I attended art school but life moved me around so I gravitated to Pastel drawing which was easier to add to a noematic lifestyle. I have to admit I'm a self taught Pastel artist however I have become quite comfortable with the medium.

My subjects are selected by what I feel and what I like.
